CM Davie of Bingo Hall
CM Davie has been serving bingo players at Bingo Hall for almost four years now. You can say that the job is his calling. Davie is a social worker by profession, his job entails helping people with development delays and mental disabilities. “It gives you a good feeling to know that you have helped a person,” he beams.
He is one of Bingo Hall's most popular CMs, not surprising at all because this dude is a real people person. Aside from being a CM, and social worker, he's also a Little League umpire.
His interests vary as well. From being a sports fans (hockey and wrestling) to current events, cooking, food, and movies. Betcha he never runs out of stuff to talk about in the chatroom.
His CM career began while playing online bingo. Soon he became friends with the CMs. When a CM unexpectedly quit he was recommended for the position. “I had several auditions. Fortunately for me, Bingo Hall gave me a try.
“There is not just one thing I like about the job,” Davie says. “The foremost is the players. You meet so many people from varied backgrounds and places that you cannot help but learn something new everyday.
“I also enjoy providing the players a break from their everyday lives, and hopefully giving them some fun.
Innovative fun, that is. CM Davie invented the Disco Party chat game for Bingo Hall. A game with disco music playing the background and special chat games that relate to the disco era. Like a virtual “We all pretend to be back in the '70s!”
Davie plans to stay on as a CM for as long as he can. Yes, it is his calling to listen to people and to provide them with good clean fun.
“The biggest quality a good chat host must have is to be able to check their ego at the door,” he says. “They need to realize that the chat room revolves around the chatters and not the chat host.”
We say Amen to that.
